Projects

Based on a trusting cooperation Pumpmakers periodically sends fully loaded containers to Somalia, in the Horn of Africa.

The current delivery includes more than 400 high quality Austrian manufactured solar panels to be used with Pumpmakers Solar Pump Systems and Pumpmakers Off-grid Power Kits as well as more than 50 custom made drilling pipes to drill wells up to 200m depth.

The region of Diffa currently hosts more than 242,000 displaced persons as a result of the Lake Chad security crisis. This project, which is implemented by the NGO “IAS Niger”, seeks to address this problem by improving access to safe drinking water through the construction of quality water infrastructure (new boreholes equipped with solar pumps, reservoirs and tap stands) at 20 sites.

30,000 beneficiaries will have increased access to safe and sustainable sources of quality water for drinking, cooking and personal/domestic hygiene and will benefit from improved hygiene practices.

In January 2018 the German NGO „Ambatana e.V.“ startet with the construction of the „Community House“ near Oloitokitok, Kajiado County, Kenya. It will be a safe haven for orphans and young girls threatened by female circumcision and forced marriage.

All together the PM Solar Pump System will provide 300 people with clean water per day and allow them to cultivate vegetables in self-sufficiency.

This project, which is financed by the Austrian association “TUMAINI - Hope for people with albinism in Africa”, aimed to install a solar pump system and off-grid power system at the Mwereni School for the Blind and Children with Albinism.

612 day-pupils now have access to clean drinking water every day and 80 blind pupils will have electricity in their dormitories. Water will also allow cultivating a school garden and keeping cows.

Our current customer in Senegal will modernise an existing water well currently driven by a power aggregate system which costs 20$ per day - this is 7.300$ per year.

He ordered a complete and fully assembled PM Solar Pump System that delivers 32.000 liters of water per day from a depth of 75 meters - without any running costs!

NGOs appreciate our quality and support. These days our Pumpmakers PM Solar Pump System for a follow-up project will arrive in Nigeria. The system includes a complete water pump solution by solar for a water supply of 114.000 liters of water per day from 20 meters depth.

It will mainly be used for the irrigation of growing crops and vegetables in a rural Nigerian area.

Pumpmakers has completed a fully loaded 40feet container with PM Solar Pump Systems for up to 263 meters depth and flow rates up to 150.000 liters of water per day for the local water supply and irrigation in rural Somalia.

Furthermore the project includes 11 off-grid power supply systems from 250 watts to 1kw of power for small to medium-sized households.

We fully assembled all systems with Plug-&-Play solutions for our client, an innovative & leading Somalian drilling company. Each system has been tested and is ready for operation just in a few simple steps.

Global One Nigeria have been installed a Pumpmakers PM Life Station in the remote Village Magami, located in Sumaila local government area of Kano state in April 2017.

There was a pump close to the village centre, but it was a hand pump and didn't pump much water or even function all the time. So the people used to fetch water from a drying up stream about 20 minutes’ walk away.

The new installed solar driven PM Life Station, with a capacity of up to 16,000 litres of water being pumped out from a depth of 30m each day, now has opened the door to a brighter future for some 4,000 local people.

Global One says: "There is a definite need for further pump projects with Pumpmakers, because they work without running costs."

Pumpmakers solar pumps have been supplying the remote village Ndoki near Douala in Cameroon since April 2016.
With a capacity of up to 15,000 liters of water being pumped out from a depth of 50m each day, the system has opened the door to a brighter future for some 5,000 local people.

The PM Life Station is a water well pump for pumping water out of water wells.
